Louis Penfield House

Frank Lloyd Wright abandoned his penchant for low ceilings in this three-bedroom Usonian situated on 30 wooded acres in Lake County, Ohio. The architect crafted generous room heights and long, thin windows in a nod to the height (6'8'') of its original owner, Louis Penfield. The Chagrin River runs through the property and is popular with trout fishermen; the home is furnished with Wright furniture and includes a reading library and working fireplace.
