DCW by Eames

Charles and Ray Eames designed the lightweight and sturdy Dining Chair Wood (or DCW) in 1945, using molded plywood and glue. "In today's design world, the absolute directness and simplicity of this chair is refreshing," says Wright. "Real beauty and pure functionality are balanced in a non self-conscious way; many designers now get caught up in the endless possibilities and lose sight of the roots of design, this form is a good reminder of this."
