Bierut first saw the logo for the forklift company around age 7 when he walked past a construction site with his father. "That's clever," Bierut's father said, pointing to the logo where the "L" looks as if it's lifting up the "A," just like a forklift truck. "This was like a magic trick for me," Bierut says. "I didn't realize it until much later, but it was at this moment that I decided to become a graphic designer."
