Interchangeable accessories, a phenomenon most commonly associated with power tools and infomercial wares, don't usually come standard at the summit of the watch world. But Geneva-based Vacheron Constantin — the oldest watchmaker in existence, founded in 1755 — is clearly looking to give customers even more bang for their buck. Their individually numbered Overseas Special U.S. Edition is limited to 100 timepieces. The watch comes complete with an additional band of black rubber, a resilient option, in place of the standard black alligator strap highlighted with red stitching. Both complement the opulently large oxidized dial, stainless-steel case, and white-gold detailing, but it's the sportier rubber strap that is better suited to the watch's more active endeavors. True to its nautical name, the Overseas can survive down to 500 feet, thanks to its sturdy sapphire glass and a screw-down crown. So while the watch won't exactly slice, dice, or julienne anything, Vacheron Constantin has handily proven that old adage: Two are definitely better than one.
