We're happy to announce the launch of the Men's Vogue charity auction, in partnership with iGavel.com and benefiting the United Nations Refugee Agency campaign, Ninemillion.org.
(Click here to see a slideshow of the auction items, and here to visit iGavel.com and place bids.)
Conceived as a way to broaden and deepen the theme of the special January/February "Sports Issue" of Men's Vogue, the auction will make available rare and one-of-a-kind items, from sporting goods to tech gear to works of art, with proceeds helping to provide educational supplies and sports equipment to some of the estimated nine million child refugees around the world.
From a made-to-order, unusually colored Nokona baseball glove (fielder's, catcher's, or first baseman's, left- or right-handed), to a handmade, aesthetically gorgeous medicine ball, to a limited edition, state-of-the-art cell phone from Vertu, the items in the auction are meant to appeal to the first-time and veteran collector alike. Meanwhile, the variety, the look, and the feel of the objects on the block will, we hope, attract not only sports fans, but design connoisseurs, as well.
Please visit iGavel to see what they have on offer right now, and take some time to learn a little more about Ninemillion.org's mission and its partners.
